Snake is the game that taught a whole generation what a mobile phone was for. The rules fit in a sentence — steer a growing line into food without touching anything — and yet a good run demands the same skill as a logistics puzzle: you are constantly reserving space for a version of yourself that is thirty segments longer.

This version runs on a 20 by 20 grid with a fixed tick rate that tightens as you eat. That matters more than it sounds. Most losses do not come from a bad turn, they come from a turn made at the old speed after the board has quietly sped up. Watching the pace rather than the apple is the single biggest improvement most players make.

The scoring is deliberately simple: ten points per apple, no bonuses, no power-ups. There is nowhere to hide behind a lucky pickup, so the number at the top of the screen is an honest measure of how well you managed the board. Your best score is stored in your own browser and never leaves your device.
